Protest
Posters
During the aggressive ICE raids in Minneapolis, our community was shaken as friends and neighbors faced targeted arrests and tear gas. However, this dark period also sparked an unprecedented wave of solidarity, with record-breaking numbers of people taking to the streets. As a designer, I was deeply moved by the raw energy and urgent messaging of the handmade, DIY protest signs carried by the crowds. Inspired by this collective resilience and the need to protect our community, I created this triptych of posters to document and amplify our city’s resistance.

The series shifts the phrase from passive politeness to a call for active protection, illustrating that true local pride means standing up for our neighbors. It serves as a visual reminder that warmth, love, and community solidarity are strong enough to melt away systemic cruelty.
